A ski/snowboard day with the family can be chaotic. Throw in the grandparents, spouses, kids and it gets down right crazy. But, crazy in a good way. The best way. That’s the way the Terpstra family rolls and I recently got to hang out with them for a morning of downhill sliding at the area’s highest peak, Mont Ste-Marie. We met up in the morning before the kids have their eventual/inevitable collapse and cruised around with no agenda. I had a couple cameras and just photographed them interacting. Aunts, Uncles, Moms, Dads and Grands just being themselves having fun in Mother Nature’s playground. I felt like part of the family within minutes so I just played along and enjoyed photographing a slice in a day of their life. Of course, we nabbed a few “family formals,” at least as formal as it gets on a ski hill but mostly they just played. Here’s the result of a carefree, fun time in the snow. Enjoy!
