It was not a clear, blue-bird day but there’s one thing you’ll never hear from a ski family – complaints about snow! We love the snow, we don’t mind digging our cars out of the driveway and most even enjoy driving in it. Why? Probably the reward once you get to the hill. I recently met up with the Boyce Family at Blue Mountain (where it snowed all day) to shoot some photos of their Active Family of five. If you looked up Active Family in the dictionary you’d see a picture of the Boyces. Their garage is full of everything you can imagine for a good time in the great outdoors, winter or summer.
The youngest of their 3 boys is not skiing just yet so we started our session with some photos of everyone enjoying the snow at the top of the mountain. Once we had some cool family portraits, Mom and the little guy took off and left the rest of us to explore the mountain and get a few more portraits and action shots. What an absolute pleasure sharing some runs with the two older boys and their Dad. Imagine, at 7 and 5 years of age, these two little groms are shredding through the woods and were even nice enough to stop and humour me for some portraits with their Dad when the landscape caught my eye.
A big thanks to the Boyce clan for welcoming me into “a day in the life” as a very active family of five out on the slopes. I couldn’t help but imagine the day when my two girls are old enough to explore the mountain with me. Happy times!
